    eVigilant, a Converged Security Solutions Company, is seeking a Director of Physical Security to join our team.  You will work in eVigilant Coporate offices in Lorton, VA.

    Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities

    eVigilant is looking for a highly qualified, experienced and self-motivated individual to perform the duties of Director of Physical Security. The Director will lead our commercial and government business, supporting clients nationwide.


    The Director of Physical Security will be required to have an understanding of state-of-the-art security equipment and devices such as fencing variations, alarm and detection devices; closed circuit television systems; locking devices for doors, windows, vaults, and gates; personnel control systems such as various visual and electronic badging systems; and computer security software. In addition, the Director will be capable of contributing to the growth of a fast-paced organization, including opportunity pursuit, customer interface, project manager development and supervision, and day-to-day problem solving.

    Minimum Qualifications and Requirements

    • Responsibilities:

      • Manages the day-to-day business of the organization including project planning and execution as well as customer relationship development. Provides leadership in the business development process. Plays a lead role in the development and maintenance of relationships with equipment manufacturers. Other responsibilities include the following:
      • Ensure projects are managed consistent with industry best practices and company methodologies and policies.
      • Ensure adherence to all safety requirements. Ensure all staff are properly trained in safety measures.
      • Review all projects with project managers and the eVigilant General Manager on a biweekly basis. Ensure projects are performing within prescribed budgets and schedules.
      • Maintain a detailed knowledge of all relevant contract requirements in the business portfolio.
      • Develop hiring plans to meet all project commitments.
      • Establish employee development plans to motivate employees and increase skill levels.
      • Work with staff members, customers, and equipment manufacturers to solve challenges that unfold in the course of project execution.
