    Our company is seeking an Security System Technician which under direction and supervision from Service Manager, Service Technician will complete Electronic Security System (ESS) scheduled service calls with assigned customers.

    Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities

    The Superintendent oversees all field operations on a project to ensure that self-performed and subcontracted trade work is in compliance with contract documents and the project schedule. Superintendents also implement and enforce safety and quality control policies among eVigilant employees and subcontractors. We have openings for both a Night and Day shift Superintendent.

    Responsibilities

     

    • Supervise the timely and cost effective installation of the contracted work of either 1) the total project or, due to size, scale and complexity, 2) a particular scope(s), subcontractor(s), or other portion(s) of the project
    • Provide on-the-job training opportunities for Assistant Superintendents and Project/Office Engineers. Encourages and/or participates in staff training and development
    • Develop a plan for sequence of work. Develop project schedule. Plan and organize project work to assure all work is in place in accordance with contract documents.
    • Have working knowledge of owner contract, subcontracts and purchase orders.
    • Know the scheduled delivery dates for all critical path material and equipment.
    • Know submittal schedule.
    • Update project schedule monthly and in accordance with contract documents.
    • Control field costs for the company and subcontract work.
    • Supervise field work force to assure all work is put in place in the most cost efficient manner.
    • Schedule and monitor field productivity.
    • Have good working knowledge of equipment.
    • Implement safety program. Conduct regular safety inspections to assure all working conditions and work habits are in compliance with company, contract and government standards. Take remedial action when required.
    • Implement the company’s safety policies and procedures.
    • Assist in resolution of scope conflicts.
    • Participate in the project management functions.
    • Assure punch list is completed in a timely manner.

     

    Minimum Qualifications and Requirements

    Security System Technician responsibilities and duties

    • Perform assigned tasks as required to complete service calls including: but not limited to troubleshooting, equipment replacement, system programming, installation coordination, system and network design, commissioning and closeout assistance.
    • Strong communication skills between Service Manager and customers is required.
    • Strong written skills needed, detailed completed service tickets and surveys.
    • Ensures work performed complies with state, local and Federal legal requirements.
    • Operates on the job with the highest of ethics.
    • Adheres to all safety standards and requirements.
    • Completes or assists in typical installation hardware design and software programming using established standards as required. Provides detailed information to communicate design and operation to the customer.
    • Selects or assists in the selection of material and equipment to be procured for the projects assigned.
    • Completes the loading, device verification and commissioning of all system controllers as required. Validates complete system functionality and troubleshoots problems to ensure proper operation. Provides accurate as-built and commissioning documentation.
    • Effectively communicates the status of projects to management as required.
    • Develops project plans and coordinates the required resources to ensure timely and effective installation and completion of assigned projects.
    • Performs site-specific training for owner / operator on the total system in full or with assistance. Ensures owner / operator has been trained. Provides proper documentation and manuals for system operation.
    • Develops and maintains viable long-term relationships with contractors, clients, consultants and subcontractors. Attend job progress meetings as required.
    • Adheres to safety standards, local and national security and fire codes, with a high degree of regard to employee and subcontractor safety.
    • Performs other duties as assigned
