    Evolver is seeking a Cyber Watch Officer to work in Colorado Springs, CO.

     

     

     

    Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities

    Maverick Cyber-Defense now Evolver Inc., A Converged Security Solutions Company is seeking an exceptionally qualified individuals to serve as a Cyber Security Watch Officer in support of a DIA contract. The Intelligence Community Security Coordination Center (IC SCC) is a federal cyber center with a mission to ensure the execution of defensive activities, coordinate security monitoring across the IC, and maintain awareness of security-related threats, events, and incidents.

    The individual brought on for this role will be responsible for coordinating cyber defense efforts and information sharing at the Tier-0 level for a classified customer base. Duties include shift work in collecting and analyzing Open Source Intelligence (OSINT), incident reporting, tracking, and resolution, and maintaining continuity of operations in a dynamic, 24x7 cyber watch environment. Must have 3+ years of cyber watch/cyber defense experience, possess a current TS clearance (CI Poly preferred), a current Security+ certification, and be willing to work rotating shifts. Position requires a person who can work independently, be flexible within a basic instruction set, and possess a strong desire to learn & improve their cyber knowledge.

    Minimum Qualifications and Requirements

    A Bachelor's Degree in Science plus 4 years of industry experience preferred; or a High School Diploma plus 8 years experience, an Associate's Degree plus 6 years experience, a Master's Degree plus 2 years experience, or a PHD.

    Strong communications skills: Writing, Briefings, Presentations

    Strong overall understanding of cybersecurity vulnerabilities and threats

    Familiarity with cyber related terms and technologies (ie. IP, MD5, SHA256)

    Basic knowledge of cyber-attack/defense (ie. Buffer overflow, DoS, Phishing, IDS, IPS, Firewalls)

    Understanding of the NIST National Vulnerability Database (NVD) and Common Vulnerability Scoring System (CVSS)

    Understanding and experience in identifying and patching software vulnerabilities.

    Security+ CE certification is a plus but not required
